PROS: This is the one I have been searching for. The D-590 "NEO" is the perfect 4 MP 3X travel camera. It is built like a Sherman tank. Gone is the clam shell slider of stylus infamy, replaced by an integrated stainless steel sheath. Gone is the archaic SLR viewfinder made superfluous by the neo "Sunshine" LCD display. No wasted space here. Very easy to use GUI. xD Cards are small and fast. Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery and charger help to keep the little tank light, small, and rolling. ISO 64-500. Red Eye Redux, Video w/Sound, 10 Program Modes, etc, etc. One great neo camera.

CONS: It ain't free. But then, nothing worthwhile is.

PROS: One en'lightened neo camera. No archaic viewfinder, no problematic mode wheel, no jury-rigged clam shell slider or plastic lens cover, all gone and good riddance. This neo camera is the one we have been looking for. With 4 MP & 3X (35-105mm) Optical Zoom, 'Sunshine' LCD, Matrix fast TruePic Turbo processor, longlife Li-on rechargeable battery, ISO 64-500, angled flash geometry, solid control buttons, slick stainless steel sheath lens cover, GUI on steroids-10 modes+, Made in Japan, all add up to the best 5.6 oz. travel camera money can buy. Don't leave home without it. You'll be sorry you did.

CONS: The wrist strap should have came in smokestack black.

PROS: .jpg format is not as high in resolution as d-580 $ a bit high. zoom button confortable but case don't look to protect to camera lens ;
