TOTAL USER RATINGS: 10
PROS: Takes good pictures when the shutter opens.
CONS: After approximately 18 months of use the camera shutter got to the point where it would not open. Canon said they would fix the shutter for $102.74 which they did. Six months later the camera shutter will not open and after calling Canon they said there is a 90 day warranty on repairs so if I want ix fixed it will cost another $100 plus. I guess for me it's time to buy a new camera...definately not a Canon.
OVERALL SCORE:4/10
PROS: Bought this camera for the larger LCD display, had a Sony Cybershot DSC-P8 before. The picture quality of the Sony is much much better then the Canon 530. Would buy it again. Looking for a sony now
CONS: Picture quality not the best, pictures haven't got very good colours.
OVERALL SCORE:5/10
PROS: decent pix, Scene settings, AA batteries, great value as a demo model
CONS: battery life (BTW folks, there is a safety notice on some of these, if your batts are running down fast/getting hot check w/ Canon, they will fix for free if yours are the affected serial numbers).
OVERALL SCORE:7/10
PROS: Can't say of Pros since Could not use yet, :( Not recommending.
CONS: The battery Drains like anything, making holes in your pocket!
OVERALL SCORE:2/10
PROS: Easy to use, compact, excellent quality, 4X optical zoom, also has full manual mode, high ISO
CONS: could have at least one preset more
PROS: Nice design. Pics turn out pretty good. Hooks up to the tv.
CONS: Battery life totally sucks. I change batteries every time I use it-which sucks for my wallet and the planet. Sometimes it is slow to take the picture and you can miss the shot.
OVERALL SCORE:7/10
PROS: great pictures, many shooting features, plugs into the TV
CONS: not having a rechargable battery (i seriously have to buy batteries every time i use it), it is too bulky for me but others may like it, you have to press the shooting button a certain way for it to shoot a picture
OVERALL SCORE:5/10
PROS: Great Quality, Fast and Easy Power-ON, Excellent Features and Controls, Nice feel, Nice Movie Mode!
CONS: 640x480 Movie Mode is only 10fps, But thats hardly a con!
PROS: Neat manual option, good automatic shooting, decent battery life for family events, etc. Super Flash!
CONS: Flash is over powering, you can shoot in the dark and produce day light. Also, this is clearly not meant for art photos. Extended exposures burn out the batteries when the camera doesn't choke.
PROS: you can choose the flash output, tons of features, powered by AA's
CONS: power button in an awkward place, slow at times
