TOTAL USER RATINGS: 3
PROS: Nice features , Lithion rechargeable battery , small and inexpensive
CONS: Mine had a red dot off center , and at 400 ISO the pictures had a lot of grain
PROS: Very user friendly, great pictures for such a small animal, very affordable for people who wants to get into the picture world
CONS: view screen small, build material a little soft, don't drop this camera a lot, HP should have included the docking for a package deal with an up in the price
PROS: Extremely easy to use. I bought it while ordering an HP dv1000 notebook from the HP Academic Purchase Program online for college. It ended costing about $110. I just wanted a simple camera that would take decent pictures and be easy to use. The r507 is just that. The buttons all have icons that are easy to use, the menu is easy to navigate with, and the camera gives you advice after every picture you take to tell you how you can improve the next one. It also has a panoramic feature that's pretty cool and records video. The camera itself holds about 24 pics, and 400+ with a 512 SD card. The 21X digital zoom is nice too, although you have to keep the camera extremely still so it doesn't come out blurry if you zoom in the closest possible distance.
CONS: The design isn't all that impresive. It's pretty small, but I wish it was somewhat thinner, though it isn't bulky. And it's only silver/metallic on the front, and then dull black everywhere else. A full metallic outside would have been more impressive. And also the viewing screen on the back is really small compared with other digital cameras. Also the sound on the video is really hard to hear and seems to record at a very low volume. There may be a solution to this but I haven't bothered looking too hard.
