TOTAL USER RATINGS: 53
PROS: 8 mp, dof preview, dof priority, nice custom color balance
CONS: autofocus is a crapshoot at best, metering info disappears while adjusting metering parameters, plastic body, menu buttons easily depressed by nose
PROS: speed is great and it is compatible with a Magicstor Microdrive 2.2 some of the older versions are not
CONS: None at this time for me, I am a glass is half type of person.
PROS: 8.0 mega pixels, A great lens, Good flash, Fast, Fast, Fast
CONS: Although the camera is smaller than its Digital Rebel counterpart, large hands will take some adjustment time to get comfortable with this camera.
PROS: Nearly instant power-on. Extremely fast focusing with kit lens AND sharp pictures at all focal lengths. Fast multiple-frame shots (3 fps) even with slow (4x) CF card. Low image noise at high ISO #s
CONS: Full Auto Exposure setting uses ISO 400 (instead of ISO 100). No ability to frame shot using LCD; focus screen & mirror dirty after just 3 days (major SLR shortcomings). Small LCD; hard to see in sun.
PROS: Great Camera!!! my first DSLR after have used 4 EOS Film cameras, excellent performance for a camera in that price, Canon did it again!
CONS: Lens that comes with the kit , I am using the camera with my old 24-85mm USM EF Canon lens and the result is outstanding!
OVERALL SCORE:9/10
PROS: Being the first DSLR owner it delivers what my old, reliable EOS ELAN used to deliver and still delivers but I don't use it anymore. Unfortunatelly my 540EZ flash works only in manual mode, although Canon says it's compatible. Nope, you want TTL full automatic flash you have to go for pricy EX line or settle with other brands. On the other hand built-in flash is much better and much less red eyes.
CONS: Nothing serious. One irritating thing - it takes minutes for the Rebel to get connected to my PC for download. Cheap and old compact digi camera makes it in 10 seconds. The only other issue is problem with focusing when using all 7 spots. The camera doesn't seem to 'think' intelligent and simply doesn't focus properly.
OVERALL SCORE:8/10
PROS: Incredible pictures and easy to use for somebody with little photography experience
CONS: This is my second camera the first one had a defective card slot. Manufacturer should have better quality control since I found out that many cameras had the same problem.
PROS: Good, low-priced mid-DSLR whether new or used; Interchangeable lens; Plastic body build quality is exceptionally good; Product failure is non-existent; Expansibility (hotshoe, battery pack, etc)
CONS: None, and I doubt they will be.
PROS: Great speed, Great Quality, Amazing cropping ability once on Computer
CONS: Some buttons can be erroneously pressed, short lens in kit needs upgrade
PROS: Speed; burst mode
CONS: Grip feel and size
