Very good photo quality

PROS: Very good photo quality. The scene mode is very nice and the lcd is 1.8inch in size. It is value for money. I wish it is a 5.0M pixels camera.

CONS: It is a little bit heavy and large in size for a pocket-size camera.

PROS: Features, features, features! I just stiched to this camera from the Olympus c-3040 and the pics are every bit as good and the features on the Canon are abundant and this camera is in one word FUN to use. I absolutely recommend!!

CONS: Plastic body...can't win em all.

PROS: Tons of features including a really cool photo stitch mode for making long psuedo panoramic photos. Capability to add on additional lens converters. Easy to use to include the menu. Excellent pictures even in normal quality. Full Manual is a Definate Plus.

CONS: Like all Digital Cameras that use AA batteries the one thing I could wish for would be rechargables out of the box but hey for the price, toss in $40-50 for the A series Powershot kit and you get a case, charger and 4 NiMH Batteries.

Great Quality and Pictures

PROS: Just bought this camera from Dell for $253 with shiiping and no tax. They actually had it cheaper than the A70. Great camera modes, full auto or full manual and everything in between. Great image quality.

CONS: None yet.

Great burst mode

PROS: Finally fixed the camera shake poblem when you turn the flash off. Was able to snap 43 shots in a row in burst mode at 1024x768. Much better than my 4 shots on my A60. The video mode actually allows you to fill the CF card to capacity (94 seconds on a 32 MB card).

CONS: I haven't found any yet.

Tons of features, great value.

PROS: Not too small, not too big. Great photo quality and lots of manual controls. It's the best in its class.

CONS: None.

Best Mid-Range Camera

PROS: Simple, sturdy design, great battery life with even 4 alkalines,

CONS: Bad rubber a/c input output design, a bit pricey for a 3 mp beginner camera

PROS: Size, ease of use, quality of picture

CONS: Date/time imprint only available through software. Screen icons too small, cant see in daylight

PROS: am amazed at how clear the images are, almost no jaggy edges even when blown up larger.

CONS: seems heavy compared with other digicams

not just a beginner's camera!

PROS: easy to use; very intuitive operation; expandable; all the features any sub-professional would require; excellent software package.

CONS: none really, except being tempted by the superior Powershot A80 as the next step up (for $70+ more).
