PROS: HP finally came out with a winner. This camera is so much smaller and more sleek than the old HP cameras (like the 935). It curves perfectly to fit with your hand.
CONS: None so far
PROS: Beautifully made with excellent adaptive lighting and other unique features. Super macro setting for very close up photos to 2" is excellent. Battery takes hundreds of photos. Crystal clear photos
CONS: sound recordings are very low volume. Some photos in very bright light show a bit of noise because they come out quite ****. EV comp. should fix it.
PROS: Is the perfect size for the pocket with great image quality. I love the fact that the camera adjusts the image depending on the lighting. Lighting is always the hardest thing about taking pictures...the camera makes it easy.
CONS: Hard to see the LCD screen in direct sunlight, but that is a common problem with all digital cameras.
PROS: Compact sise is easy to take along. Macro and Ultra-macro let you get in close. Bright sun and close-in flash photos are great. Control options give added flexibility.
CONS: Viewfinder only shows 80% of the photo. Photos in shade and low light tend to be "flat". "Rubber" door on access ports is of questionable quality. The standard battery charger is larger and heavier than the camera.
PROS: Great & tiny size, but doesn't feel cramped in my hand. Great picture quality. The "HP Adaptive Lighting" and in-camera red-eye removal work very well. The in camera help texts are very cool and the camera basically teaches you how to take pictures like a pro without ever reading a manual. It's video shutter button is nifty. Good optical zoom and I like how the digital zoom puts a yellow square in the screen (what you will crop) and shows the decreased meapixel number. The software the camera comes with is good for beginners. Comes with a rechargeable battery pack. Rubberized back and stainless-steel back. Memory light (flashes when saving a picture.) Good battery life. Good flash/flash modes. Good picture modes and macro modes. After you go through the HORRIBBLE set-up process, HP instant share is cool. HP's online classes are GREAT and free. Compatibality with SD memory cards. The panoramic photo mode works well and is really awesome.
CONS: The screen is kinda small and isn't protected, so it smudges really easily and is a little hard to clean. HP instant share. BIG focus lag in low light w/ no flash (which usually means blurry pictures.) A sliding power switch can be annoying but not that big of a deal. Some of the HP branded accessories can be a little bit pricey. Start-up time could use to be quickened up a little. The usb port and power port cover is pretty small. All-in-all the HP R607 is a GREAT choice if you want a easy to use digital camera that gives you great results.
PROS: Great value for the price, all the features you would ever need, easy to use software, very well built.
CONS: Can't see all of the image through the viewfinder, takes longer to charge the battery than most other cameras.
PROS: This is a very well made camera and the ergonomics are excellent. The metal body with rubber back makes it easy to hold despite it's small size. The zoom is excellent and the controls are well thought out an functional.
CONS: It is to bad that you have to buy the dock in order to connect to a tv.
PROS: I like its small and sleek design. Ultraportable and great shots. I'm happy with this camera compared to my first digital which was a cheapy first timer must have digital camera. The HP was a great upgrade!
CONS: none. so far.
PROS: quick flash reset. software is easy to use and install. There is no other compact camera for the price on the market that can equal this HP
CONS: small screen on the back.
PROS: Compact enough to fit in a guys pocket or a ladys little purse.
CONS: At first took forever to load the software, but once past that i had no problems!
