PROS: - small and slick form factor - size is smaller than a pack of cards and about same thickness - easy to carry it in any pocket, so you can have a camera to take with you anywhere - several colors to choose from for everyone's taste - metallic matte finish feels great and doesn't slip - solid yet light weight - image quality is very good - colors are vibrant, crisp, and clean - the lens is remarkably sharp and has great resolving power - camera is exceptionally fast in performance - auto focus is fast, reliable, and accurate - minimal noise at low ISO and even 400 to 800 is workable - noise reduction technology seems to have improved over previous Canons - simple and uncluttered interface - I-Contrast works well - buttons are flushed against body so the camera has a very aerodynamic feel; only part sticking out is the shutter button - battery life is pretty good, easily take on a day trip with one fully charged battery - has a viewfinder
CONS: - power button is difficult to press accidently, but also difficult to press on purpose too - full AUTO mode continually focuses which makes annoying mechanical noise - widest zoom is only 35mm when many competitors have 28mm or less - could have some more features like Color Accent, time lapse, panorama assist, which were found in previous Elph models - battery cover and tripod mount are plastic
OVERALL SCORE:8/10
