PROS: good build, great picture quality

  An SLR substitute for the beginner

PROS: Macro mode is very decent

CONS: Telephoto is not up to the mark.

  Buy it for the zoom!

PROS: If it didn't have the fantastic zoom, it would not be my first choice.

CONS: "Help" function is useless. Camera jams if you forget to remove the lens cap. Zooming is jerky and imprecise. Battery charging is slow -I'd reccommend buying an extra, you don't get enough shots out of a single.
