PROS: great for outside shots and macro shots (especially in sunlight)
CONS: Had some dificulty in getting great low light shots.
PROS: All the features are easy to maneuver and ever easier after you read the owners manual. Excellent photo quality when lighting is adequate. Zoom is out of this world. Panorama pictures are created with little effort. Small size is nice.
CONS: Low light photo taking is tough. Proper lighting is essential. The 16MB memory card is only good for 20 pics. At least 256MB is recommended. I shot 230 pics at highest resolution on our vacation to Florida.
PROS: Takes pictures very quickly. Great zoom and picture quality.
CONS: Rechargable battery only.
PROS: I bought this for the optical zoom, the auto mode, the feature set that would allow me to 'grow into it', and picture quality - it's excelled on all counts.
CONS: Buy a second battery with it, and as larger media card. Otherwise, no probs. with the camera itself.
PROS: Exellent picture quality in daylight or adequate lighting..Easy to use functions.Light weight and perfectly fits in the palm of my hand.
CONS: Very difficult to shoot in low lighting.Focus is difficult to get on close up shots in low lighting.Uses alot of battery power if using your Lcd.
PROS: I'm a beginner, so find the AUTO setting handles most of my needs, but glad I have the ability to customize down the road. Great color and sharpness with pictures taken to date.
CONS: Night shooting is difficult.
PROS: Loads of manual controls. Sharp ED lens w/minimal purple fringing. 10x zoom. Very good color reproduction. Add-on lenses and filters available.
CONS: NO HOT SHOE! (the ZDNET article is incorrect). No image stabilization.
PROS: The Ultra Zoom is a must have. I got a picture of the craters of the moon. Great features and great software provided. It takes great pictures during the day. The camera comes out with pictures with excellent color details
CONS: At night, focusing could take a few seconds too long.
PROS: THIS CAMERA HAS EVERYTHING-YOU COULD WANT IN THIS PRICE RANGE. ALSO-PICTURE QUALITY IS JUST REMAKABLE. THE "ZOOM" PLUS MANUAL SETTINGS MAKES THIS AN "ALL-AROUND" WINNER!
CONS: some getting use to. but with the manual-"cdrom" it helps to read "as you go".
PROS: This camera has many of the features I was looking for like movie mode, 4 megapixel, great zoom lens, and easy to use. The pictures that turn out nice do have great clarity.
CONS: Anytime I try to take pictures with a flash they are distorted. Some daytime pictures I take are blury even if you hold the shutter button half way and then snap after it's focused. The camera needs the new feature called a stabilizer. I wish I wouldn't have been picky about having a 4 megapixel and got the 3.2 Cannon with the stabilizer. It works but you can be my next camera will be a cannon. My previous camera a Fujii took better quality than some of the pictures I end up having to delete. I went on vacation and had taken shots standing still and took multiples and picked the only one that wasn't blurry and when developed it was still blurry.
