As with previous Canon releases, the 50D is a fairly conservative upgrade, but this camera still sits at or near the top in its category.

PROS: Extremely Fast with USDMA Card. Some photos are very sharp.Very fast camera with USDMA card. Resolution is great and color of photos is good.
CONS: Too Heavy ! Some photos are blurry when taken from a distance. CR2 files need additional software to handle. The battery goes down quickly.
PROS: Very easy to use, even for a disabled person
CONS: Nothing really
PROS: Hi Res LCD Lens Micro AF adjust Live View with Histogram Better ergonomics with ISO button than earlier models Very responsive, Super fast focus and more accurate
CONS: No dedicated MLU button, yet! Adobe Camera Raw not so good for conversions Prefer rear buttons down left hand side of LCD rather than along the bottom.
PROS: Faster then the 40D and much cleaner pictures with the DIGIC 4 processor. Even at 6400 ISO using the high filter setting. It was equal to 40D's 3200 ISO shots.
CONS: Wish the ISO scale from 100 to 6400 was graduated in 1/3 increments like the NIKON D3. Understand the New Mark II 5D is.
PROS: Great Image Quality, Stunning Color
CONS: sometimes slow autofocus in low light, no video mode
