Samsung has expanded its lineup of Point and Shoot smart cameras with the announcement of the Zoom WB350F and Dual Grip WB2200F at CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
The Zoom WB350F camera measures just 4.47 x 2.56 x .98 inches and weighs in at .47 pounds without the battery. The camera features a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, an ISO range of 80-3200, and a 3-inch touchscreen LCD display on the back of the camera. It also features full HD video recording with resolutions as high as 1920x1080 at 30 fps.
The Dual Grip WB2200F features a 16.3-megapixel CSI CMOS sensor with an iSO range of 80 to 6400. The WB2200F features, as its name indicates, two hand grips with one on the left side and another on the bottom of the camera to assist in various shooting conditions. The camera measures 4.68 x 4.8 x 1.4 inches and weighs 1.34 pounds without the battery. It boasts a 60x optical zoom with a 20mm ultra wide angle lens and can record full HD video with resolutions as high as 1920 x 1080 at 30fps. A 3-inch LCD touch enabled display is located on the rear of the camera where users can access features such as the full manual and i-Function modes for advanced photography.
Both cameras boast Wi-Fi capabilities with a slew of connectivity features including NFC technology. With Tag & Go, users can easily share photos with NFC compatible devices by "bumping" them against the camera without any prior configuration necessary. The Photo Beam and Auto Share features let users send photos directly to a smartphone via a Wi-Fi connection, backing up photos seamlessly. Both cameras also feature a Remote Viewfinder function, which lets users control the camera with a mobile device as well as view a live stream feed from the camera on a smartphone.
Each camera also features smart modes, which lets users select scenes including Beauty Face, Landscape, Action Freeze, Panorama, Waterfall, Silhouette, Sunset, Fireworks, Light Trace, Low Light Shot, Rich Tone, Continuous Shot, and Macro.
The WB350F will be available in white, black, brown, red, and blue but there is no word yet from Samsung on pricing or availablilty for the Zoom WB350F or Dual Grip WB2200F smart cameras.
