Canon PowerShot N100
Canon announces the PowerShot N100 digital camera at CES 2014. The N100 offers users a fun way to capture memories and share with friends. The PowerShot N100 camera offers a 5x optical zoom, a 24mm Wide-Angle f/1.8 lens, a 12.1-Megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor and Canon's DIGIC 6 image processor. Dual Capture mode allows users to simultaneously photograph using the Main Camera, while the rear facing camera, superimposes a picture of them onto the main image. The PowerShot N100 also offers the new Story Highlights mode. This mode creates a highlight reel of images and video to create a movie from shots taken by the user. Like the Canon N, the N100 features an artistic mode to create unique imagery. The Canon N100 offers Wi-Fi. Pushing the Mobile Device Connect Button allows users to connect to a smartphone, a tablet or a computer. Connection to the computer is done by using Canon's Image Sync (through the cloud). Or you can connect to Android devices through Near Field Communication (NFC). The Creative Shot mode on the PowerShot N100 camera has four new filters including: Retro, Monochrome, Special and Natural. Just like the original N, in Creative Shot mode lets users create the image, but the PowerShot N100 evaluates the image and applies several creative effects for a total of five unique images. The camera also has 46 new filter types. The camera has a three-inch tiltable touch LCD panel allows users to capture images at unique angles, up to 90 degrees.
The PowerShot N100 digital camera is expected to be available in May 2014 in white or black for an estimated retail price of $349.99.
The PowerShot SX600 HS Digital Camera
The PowerShot SX600 HS is an ultrazoom camera in a compact body. It has an equivalent of 25-450mm focal length with its 18x optical zoom. The SX600 HS camera has a 16-Megapixel CMOS sensor and the DIGIG 4+ Image Processor. The SX600 is also the recipient of the same creative shot mode as the N100. The camera also features Wi-Fi.
The PowerShot SX600 HS digital camera is expected to be available at the end of February 2014 in red, white or black for an estimated retail price of $249.99.
The PowerShot ELPH 340 HS Digital Camera
The PowerShot ELPH 340 HS is the successor to the ELPH 330 HS. It features a 12x optical zoom lens which is an equivalent to a 25mm-300mm focal length. It has a 16-Megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4+ Image Processor. The ELPH 340 is also the recipient of the same creative shot mode as the N100 (and the SX600). The camera also features Wi-Fi.
The PowerShot ELPH 340 HS is expected to be available in March 2014 in purple, silver or black for an estimated retail price of $199.99.
