Today users of the WB250F have access to Evernote to capture and sync photos to any device that has Evernote installed. Evernote is software designed for notetaking which can be anything from formatted text, a webpage, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten note. After a note is written they can have file attachments, be organized into folders, tagged, and edited.
The Evernote feature is available in the United States via a software update to anyone who owns a WB250F. As an added bonus, the WB250F comes with three months of the Evernote Premium service (a $15 value) that includes a higher upload allowance per month (up to 1GB), more sharing options and faster image processing.
"Consumers want to take great pictures that they can share with their family and friends," said Ron Gazzola, Vice President of Marketing for Digital Imaging. "With the addition of Evernote to Samsung's WB250F, users can now seamlessly sync their images across devices and share their photo memories with other Evernote users."
Recently, Samsung has done a great job of integrating Wi-Fi technology and third party services to bring out the best in their Smart Cameras. Pioneers in the connected camera genre, they are paving the way for other camera companies to catch up to their advancements. And I'm pretty sure the other companies didn't see it coming.
We recently reviewed the Samsung WB250F. Although it's not my favorite Samsung camera (the NX300 and the Galaxy NX hold that place in my heart) it is fun, creative and very kid friendly. The WB250F is a 14.2 megapixel camera with a BSI CMOS sensor, 18x optical zoom and full manual (P/S/A/M) modes. It has a touchscreen LCD display. My son absolutely loved the Motion Photo feature which allowed him to create GIF animated files. He spent hours creating interesting, silly and fun GIF images.
The Samsung WB250F is available in white, cobalt black, gun metal and red and has an MSRP of $249.99. Newly purchased cameras will come with the Evernote Premium redemption code in the box. Evernote Premium codes can be redeemed at go.evernote.com/samsungcamera.
