Sigma has announced that two of its lenses have received awards from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
The company's 17-70 F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM Contemporary lens has been given the Best Entry Level DSLR Lens award and the 35 F1.4 DG HSM Art lens has been named Best Expert DSLR Lens by the association.
TIPA announces its award winners annually, choosing from products introduced to the market during the past year. The editors take into account use of leading-edge technology, design and ergonomics, ease-of-use and the price/performance ratio when making their decisions.
Both of Sigma's TIPA award-winning lenses are available in Sigma, Nikon and Canon mounts. The art lens is available for the street price of $899 and the contemporary lens is available for the street price of $499, at the time of this writing.
