Valentine's Day Gifts for the Photographer

Plus it boasts Wi-Fi sharing abilities, so you'll be able to make all your Facebook friends hungry after showing them photos of the case you got from Godiva. 

iPad Mini or the Nexus 10

A small tablet is a great option for the photographer in your life that needs something portable to show their portfolio on and also wants to have an easier option for doing business. Just how useful are these little tablets? Besides being able to fit easily into a purse or a messenger bag, they can fit into a peacoat jacket. Plus, when your images are exported at 163 PPI, they'll look tack sharp and super crisp--more than good enough for potential clients. Speaking of which, ASMP also has an app that allows photographers to let people sign a standard model release on the go. Still not convinced? Does the photog in your life have the hankering for java? Coffee not only helps lots of us wake up in the morning, but for many of us it is a total obsession (especially if you work in a big city.) Lens mugs have been around for quite a while and are very popular with photographers. Depending on how much they love the bean, the mugs come in various sizes and appeal to both sides of the war with Canon and Nikon versions.

If you have a film shooter or someone looking for a bit more experimentation in their lives, one of the best ways is to get them a film camera. Lomography's LC-A+ is one of the best deals around for that. Sporting a 32mm f2.8 lens and featuring total program mode shooting, they'll find shooting to be a total joy--just remember to zone focus beforehand! Plus, there is a built in light meter for taking photos in nearly any situation.

The Lomography LC-A+ features the ability to use 35mm film (ISO 100-1600) or Fujifilm Instax instant film. The camera is still being produced every day brand new if you don't want to go for an older alternative like a Hexar AF or Ricoh GR1s. Of course, none of them are as pocket-sized or simple to use as this camera.

Fujifilm Instax 210 Wide:

The more parties and weddings that you go to, the more of these little products you see everywhere. Commonly mistaken for or called Polaroid cameras, these cameras are actually made by Fujifilm and shoot on a special wide instant film made by the company. This Instax Wide film is sold at many camera retailers and other shops. Featuring a 95mm f14 fixed lens, this camera shoots 4x3 inch positives and uses 4 AA batteries.

This camera and the Instax Mini 7s tend to be very popular at gatherings due to the compact size, instant printing gratification, and the overall fun that they are.

Olympus CBG-8 Casual bag:
