F900EXR and F850EXR

Today Fuji announced the compact ultrazoom FinePix F900EXR. The FinePix F900EXR offers a 1/2" 16MP EXR-CMOS II and a 20x wide-angle long-zoom lens (25-500mm in 35mm equivalent). Pair this with an intelligent digital zoom feature that effectively doubles zoom capability and you have one amazing long focal length. The camera has a 3.0-inch 920K-dot resolution LCD screen and features a new Intelligent Hybrid AF system. With the enhanced AF, the F900EXR automatically switches between phase detection AF and contrast detection AF depending on the subject and scene. The FinePix F900EXR includes a new EXR Processor II that more than doubles the performance of the first-generation EXR Processor; claiming super-fast startup times and high burst-mode rates of 11 frames per second.

Connection from the F900EXR to a smartphone or tablet is easy. Users can download the free "FUJIFILM Camera Application" to their iOS or Android device. Users can transfer up to 30 pictures at a time. The app also lets you download movies. With its Wi-Fi capability, the F900EXR allows users to back up photos on their home computer by installing the free "FUJIFILM PC AutoSave" software onto their computer.

The F900EXR shoots full HD video at 60 frames per second. The camera offers a dedicated movie recording button. It also has a built-in stereo microphone.

Within the FinePix F-Series, Fuji is also announcing the FinePix F850EXR. The F850EXR features a 1/2" 16MP EXR CMOS Sensor and 20X manual zoom. Minus a few key features like Intelligent Hybrid AF, color options and processing speed, the two F-series cameras have very similar functionality.

The FinePix F900EXR and F850EXR will be available in March 2013 for $399.95 and $299.95 respectively.

S6800 and S4800

Fuji announces its newest S-Series bridge cameras. The new cameras feature improved sensors, advanced processing power and even better lenses. The two new S-Series models - the S6800 and S4800 each offer an optical image stabilization and Fujinon lenses with 30x optical zoom (24mm wide-angle to 720mm telephoto lens, f/3.1 to 5.9). Each of the cameras are also capable of a super Macro Mode allowing users to get up to 0.78 inches from a subject. They both have manual mode control.

The S6800 has a 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor with an ISO range up to 12800. The S4800 uses a 16MP 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor. Both S-Series cameras have a 3.0-inch LCD screen (460k-dot S6800 and 230K-dot S4800).

The FinePix S6800 offers a dedicated movie button to record 1080i video at 60fps. It also has slow-motion capture at 480fps. The S6800 also adds a number of in-camera movie editing features including "movie trimming" and "movie join." The FinePix S4800 shoots in 720p at 30fps.

Both cameras take 4 AA alkaline batteries and give users approximately 320 shots before having to change or charge their batteries.

The FinePix S-Series will be available March 2013 at the price of $249.95 (S6800) and $229.95 (S4800). Both models will be available in black, and the S6800 will also be available in White and Red.

JX680

The final camera introduction is the FinePix JX680, a slimline camera with a 5x optical zoom lens (26-130mm in 35 mm equivalent). It offers digital image stabilization and creative filter functions. It has a 16MP CCD sensor and a 3.0-inch LCD screen.

Movies can be recorded at 720p and still images can be taken simultaneously with aspect ratios of 16:9. A dedicated movie recording button is also available on this camera in addition to creative editing features.

The FinePix JX680 will be available March 2013 at the price of $99.95 and will be available in black, and red.
