Today Olympus announced a newly upgraded 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 super telephoto zoom lens. The lens is designed for the Micro Four Thirds System cameras which makes the lens a 150-600mm (35mm equivalent) when mounted to cameras such as the Olympus OM-D E-M5 or E-PL5. The lens has a circular aperture diaphragm with 7 blades. Available in black, this lens will incorporate several of the best features found in the former model. However, Olympus has made a couple significant changes where necessary. Ghosting and flare has been improved with the new ZERO-Coating that has been added to the lens elements. Also, the lens has undergone a slight exterior makeover. Available for $549.99, the 75-300mm lens will be shipping in March.
