Sony Announces Cyber-shot W730 Digital Camera

The Cyber-shot W730 was unveiled today by Sony. The company states this is a versatile, easy-to-use camera with an 8x zoom (25-200 equivalent). The new W730 camera features a 16.1 MP Super HAD CCD sensor with an 8x optical zoom Carl Zeiss lens. It has 720p HD movie shooting with Optical SteadyShot.

The camera has panorama mode, advanced flash performance and a new Beauty Effect palate that offers users a post-shooting editing feature.

The W730 should be available in January for about $139. Users have the option of purchasing the camera in silver, pink and blue.
