FUJIFILM today announced the introduction of the FinePix T550. The T550 has a 16 megapixel CCD sensor. The camera has a 12x zoom lens (24-288mm) or boost the zoom to 24x with the Intelligent Digital Zoom feature. The T550 boasts a 3 inch LCD screen. It has a slim design that is thin enough to fit in your jeans or purse. It offers Optical Image Stabilization to help reduce camera shake and blurry images. In addition, the camera features Advanced Filter capabilities for adding creativity to your images.
"The FinePix T550 offers consumers a great combination of advanced features such as fast startup and auto focus speeds, and increased long zoom power to capture a wide range of photos, all in a stylish and affordable compact digital camera that fits in your pocket," said David Troy, director of marketing, Digital Cameras, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Electronic Imaging Division. "Everyday photographers will enjoy these cameras for their ease of use and outstanding features like Optical Image Stabilization, HD movie capture, and the Advanced Filter."
Movies can be recorded at 720p. Fuji also allows users to record still images with aspect ratios of 16:9 while recording video. A dedicated "Movie Recording Button" is available for easy video start-up. The camera also includes a number of advanced movie-editing features.
The FinePix T550 will be available March 2013 at the price of $159.95 and will be available in black, white and red.
