If Santa can carry a stylish bag, why shouldn't you? The Retrospective 7 camera bag from Think Tank Photo offers photographers a comfortable, stylish experience through a rugged canvas design. Available in several colors, this bag is sure to please even the most discerning of photo enthusiasts.

The Since 2005 Think Tank Photo has been designing camera bags. With an emphasis on professional quality and classic design, their team of photographers and designers know how to create a camera bag that can stand up to the test. With an extensive line of bags and accessories, Think Tank Photo has truly made a name for themselves.

Retrospective 7 is no exception to their line. Rugged canvas meets stylish design for a bag that nice to look at and easy to use. The inconspicuous nature of this bag makes street shooting a breeze. It allows you to wield your expensive cameras and lenses without screaming, "Notice me!"

Subtle and comfortable, the Retrospective 7 is a great choice for DSLR shooters. The interior of the bag measures 13.5" W x 9.5" H x 7" D and weighs less than 3 lbs. The exterior boasts DWR treated fabric in your choice of 3 colors - Pinestone, Slate Blue or Black. The underside is coated with PU to guard against water. Antique nickel plated metal hardware gives this camera bag rugged durability. A padded, adjustable strap gives the user maximum flexibility when carrying the bag. The Retrospective 7 also has a removable carrying handle making the bag easy to manage on planes, busses or subways. The materials used speak to the superiority of Think Tank Photo products - they are durable and made from quality fabrics.

The lightweight bag holds 1 standard DSLR camera with 2-3 lenses and accessories such as a flash and additional memory cards. The interior compartments are spacious enough for a pro DSLR with attached lens facing down in the middle. The two side compartments will hold additional lenses and a flash. The interior also comes equipped with two organizer pockets for pens, maps and memory cards.

As an added bonus the Retrospective 7 includes a rear pouch designed for holding an iPad or 11-inch Mac-Book air. The pouch is reinforced and padded for safety while transporting your tablet or computer.

Conclusion

I was very happy with this bag. I used it by placing the strap across my chest versus hanging it from one shoulder. I found this far more comfortable and much easier to access my equipment.  I had no trouble carrying this bag fully loaded in this manner.  Due to the abundantly padded shoulder strap, it was comfortable to lug around for an extended period of time.

I used the bag to walk through downtown Cincinnati and a local park. Because of the discreet feel of the bag I did not sense that I drew attention to myself or my equipment.

This bag is easily unisex, potentially leaning to the masculine side. As a female, however, I did not feel that the bag was too manly. In fact, I love the idea of using this bag as I stated earlier -- photographing at the park, street shooting downtown or traveling with it on a plane.

A great option for the "photographer on the go" this camera bag is big on durability and comfort. Priced just under $155 you won't be disappointed. Looking for something different for your favorite photographer? Check out the whole line of bags, backpacks and accessories from Think Tank Photo.

Price: $154.75, from Think Tank Photo.
