Fujifilm has announced that it has launched its Smart Publishing API (Application Programming Interface) that will help mobile developers earn revenue from photo-related applications. The API will offer developers a wide range of photo products produced by Fujifilm's Printing Services Group such as photo prints, magnets, stickers, and coffee mugs, that can be added to mobile applications for purchase and delivery to consumers' homes.
The API includes a built-in shopping cart that handles payments directly via the API, built-in product previews using customer images, over 40 photo products ready to be shipped directly to consumers, and sales reporting tools.
To assist developers in setting up and managing the API, Fujifilm is launching a web portal that will provide instructions on how to implement the API as well as web-based tools for developers to configure products and pricing for their applications.
