Pentax-Ricoh takes the wraps off a new mid-range DSLR, adding the weather-resistant K-30 to its portfolio. This new addition
offers an updated AF system, up to 6 fps burst shooting and a 100% field of view optical viewfinder. True to Pentax's outside-of-the-box style, the K-30 will be sold in a couple of bold color options as well as traditional black.
Key features of the new K-30 DSLR will include:
smc Pentax-DA 50mm f/1.8
Also introduced is a new 50mm f1/8 prime lens. It's compact and lightweight at 4.3 ounces, offering an equivalent focal length of 76.5mm when mounted to a K-series DSLR such as the K-30.
Pricing and Availability
The K-30 will be available in stores this July priced at $849.99 body-only or $899.95 with 18-55mm kit lens. The DA 50mm f/1.8 prime will be offered around the same time for $249.95.
