Adobe has announced Creative Suite 6, which consists of new releases of 14 applications and four Creative Suites for design, web and video professionals. The suites include Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium, and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection.
Among the new applications are Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CS6 Extended software. Photoshop CS6 features include a content aware patch which allows greater control by letting users choose the sample area used to create a patch, a new graphics engine for better performance, new and re-engineered design tools and new video tools. Another new feature is Blur Gallery, which allows users to create photographic blur effects including tilt-shift effects, blur everything with one focal point, or vary the blurriness between multiple focal points Photoshop CS6 Extended includes all Photoshop CS6 features as well as a 3D graphics engine, 3D user interface improvements and new 3D effects.
Other new applications include Adobe Illustrator CS6 (graphics), Adobe InDesign CS6 (publishing), Adobe Muse (easy website creation), Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 (web design), Adobe Flash Professional CS6 (web tools), Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 (video editing), Adobe After Effects CS6 (cinematic and graphic effects), Adobe Prelude CS6 (video production) and Adobe Audition CS6 (audio editing).
Adobe has also announced Creative Cloud, a subscription-based hub for making, sharing and delivering creative work. Creative Cloud membership provides users with access to download and install every new Creative Suite 6 application and other Adobe applications. Creative Cloud integrates Adobe’s tablet applications into everyday work, synchronizing and storing files in the cloud for sharing and access on any device. Creative Cloud members will be able to deliver mobile apps to iOS and Android marketplaces and publish, manage and host websites. Creative Cloud members also will have access to application upgrades before they are launched as part of major Creative Suite updates, as well as new products and services as they emerge.
