Samsung Introduces NX1000, NX210 and NX20 System Cameras With Wi-Fi

Three new Compact System Cameras join the NX lineup today, each equipped with built-in Wi-Fi sharing capabilities. These cameras share the same 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and offer variations in styling and advanced photo features, staging an appeal to a wide range of shooters.

Each new NX camera is compatible with Samsung’s NX series lenses and will offer Wi-Fi connectivity. Those with Samsung smartphones and tablets will be able to link up to their NX1000, NX210 or NX20 and use the device as a wireless viewfinder.

Samsung NX20
Following the NX10, the NX20 is designed with a more advanced shooter in mind. It has a DSLR-esque styling (without the weight and bulk of a true DSLR) and offers a 3.0-inch swiveling display. A built-in EVF of 800 x 600 pixel resolution is another point that enthusiasts may appreciate. The NX20 will be capable of up to 8 fps burst shooting and will record 1080 HD video with H.264 compression.

Samsung NX210
Like the NX200 before it, the NX210 lacks an electronic viewfinder, giving it a more sleek appearance. It offers a 3.0-inch AMOLED display, also records 1080 video and offers SRW format RAW shooting. It does not offer in-body image stabilization – certain NX lenses offer OIS.

Samsung NX1000
The NX1000 is designed to appeal to the fashion-conscious camera shopper in black, white or pink color options. It’s capable of 1080 HD video like the NX20 and NX210, and will offer Samsung’s Smart Auto 2.0 for beginners. Each of the new cameras introduced today is compatible with i-Function lenses from Samsung.

Pricing and Availability
The Samsung NX20 and NX210 are slated for May availability and will cost $1099.99 and $899.99, respectively. NX1000 pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.
