Nik Software, the producer of the Snapseed app for iPad, has introduced a universal version that runs on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Snapseed is a powerful photo-editing software that includes photo capture, enhancements and effects, and a broad range of sharing options all using gesture controls.
Snapseed lets you take photos from within the app and crop, straighten and adjust parameters of the image such as saturation, contrast, brightness, white balance and ambience.
Photos can be enhanced with Center Focus, which draws attention to a portion of the photo by blurring the background. Other photo enhancements include Black and White, which gives photos a retro look; Organic Frames, which allows the user to add interesting, creative borders; and Auto Correct, which analyzes the photo and automatically adjusts color and exposure.
Snapseed also includes filters that will give your photos a unique look. Processing modes such as Vintage Film and Grunge allows you to adjust the style and texture of photos. With Selective Adjust you can enhance only portions of a photo. Once the picture is complete, you can email your photos, post your photos to Facebook and Flickr, or print them out.
Snapseed is available at the Apple app store for $4.99. For additional information about Snapseed, check out the Nik Software website.
