Panasonic introduced the Lumix DMC-FH7 last month, a 16 megapixel point-and-shoot with a 3.0-inch touchscreen. It offers a 4x optical zoom lens, 720p HD video and in-camera photo retouching options via touch interface. The Panasonic FH7 is introduced with an MSRP of $179.99 and is available in black only.
We previewed Panasonic's 2011 Lumix lineup at CES early this year. Panasonic's latest point-and-shoots represent a commitment to high-end features like image stabilization in lower-end point-and-shoots. The FH7's sub-$200 price tag marks a continuation of this trend, offering basic HD video recording and touchscreen technology at a competitive price.
