Samsung introduces the rugged W200 pocket HD camcorder today. It will be equipped with a 5 megapixel backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, an f/2.2 lens and underwater recording capability up to 9 feet. It's also built to withstand a drop of 2 meters thanks to a durable, dust-proof casing.

The W200 will have a 2.3-inch LCD with a 230k-dot resolution. It will accept Micro SD/SDHC cards, an anti-fog coating on the lens and anti-water drop coating on the LCD. Two Smart Filter modes, vignette and fisheye, are available for in-camera creative effects. Other features will include digital image stabilization, built-in USB connectivity and HDMI connectivity.

Pricing and availability
The Samsung W200 will be available in May for an MSRP of $159.
