The new Panasonic Lumix FH27 will include a touch screen, and both the FH27 and FH25 will offer an 8x optical zoom lens and 720p HD video recording capability.
Like other Lumix cameras launched for CES 2011, the FH27 and FH25 will offer easy image uploading without additional software. The two new models share the same 16.1 megapixel sensor and an 8x optical zoom lens starting at a wide 28mm angle.

The FH27 steps into line with several other current Lumix models by offering a 3.0-inch touch LCD. The 230k-dot touch screen will allow users to take advantage of features like the touch shutter and touch zoom control.
Like the FH25, it will be equipped with optical image stabilization, face detection and scene recognition technology. A Venus Engine IV processor makes a shutter lag as quick as 0.005 seconds possible and enables the use of features like Intelligent Zoom.

The FH25 will not offer a touch screen, though it will share the FH27's slim build and iA Intelligent Auto mode. Both models are equipped with 28 individual scene modes and 70 MB of built-in memory.
Pricing and availability
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27 will be available in black, red and silver. The FH25 will be offered in silver, black, red, blue and violet. No pricing information has been released at this time. Per usual, Panasonic will announce prices 30 days before the cameras are slated to ship to consumers.
