Eye-Fi, best known for its line of wireless memory cards, has launched Eye-Fi View, giving consumers full access to all of their photos and videos from any computer or mobile device. Eye-Fi has also introduced a new email-sharing feature, allowing direct, private sharing of full-resolution images. These are free upgrades to the Eye-Fi Center software that comes with the Eye-Fi Pro X2 memory card.
Eye-Fi View enables the user to view, share or download photos from the last seven days wherever internet is available by logging into Eye-Fi Center.
With Eye-Fi's email feature, users select contacts from their own address book who are sent a link, which enables the contacts to download full-resolution images. This is an attempt to avoid the problem of inboxes containing emails with attached photos that take a long time to download.
