Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 for the Mac and Windows PC has hit the market complete with upgraded functionalities, including the new Content Aware Fill that was previously only available in the professional version.
The Content Aware Fill feature allows the user to remove an object using an eraser and have the resulting background image appear unobstructed. Additionally, Adobe added Organizer, which creates a central area for tagging and viewing photos; Auto-Analyzer, which uses facial recognition to tag photos; and easy access to Facebook, Flickr, and other social networks for quick photo posting.
The software is available on the Adobe website for $100 and can be bundled with the video editing software Premiere Elements 9 for $150. Also, for $50 extra per year, the Plus version brings tutorials and 20 GB of online backup.
