Samsung continues to expand their line of popular DualView cameras with the addition of the Samsung DualView ST600 and ST100 today. Hailing them as the new flagship DualView models, they feature larger 1.8-inch front facing LCDs.
The ST600 and ST100 maintain the ultra-sleek and slim look of previous DualView cameras such as the TL225. Both models feature a 5x optical zoom lens, though the ST100's is internally contained to keep the front panel of the smooth.
Samsung's new DualView cameras will both feature 14.2 megapixel sensors and are equipped with a Smart Auto mode for minimal user input. Previous models as well as the ST600 and ST100 feature a self portrait mode, couples mode, a child mode that will display a colorful animation on the front LCD, and self-timer countdown.
Introduced with the ST600 and ST100 is a "jump shot" mode. The camera's front LCD will give a cue to those posing for the photo to jump in unison, and then it snaps three shots to aid in capturing one that freezes the jumpers in air.

The ST600's 5x optical zoom lens offers a wide angle of 27mm. Like the ST100, it will provide users with dual Optical and Digital Image Stabilization systems. The front-facing 1.8-inch LCD will respond to a tap, and the large 3.5-inch LCD on the back is also a touch screen. It will support Samsung's Smart Gesture user interface, allowing the user to tilt the camera to perform certain functions in addition to touch screen interaction.
It will record 720p HD videos at 30 fps and supports a touch autofocus lock function. It also features Samsung's face recognition technology and will "remember" the faces of up to 6 photographic subjects who have been registered manually. Up to 14 faces will be recognized automatically.

By tucking the 5x optical zoom lens into the corner of the ST100, Samsung has slimmed down the camera body to just about a 0.8-inch thickness with no protruding lens. The smaller lens also means that it has only a 35mm wide angle compared to the ST600's 27mm wide angle lens.
The ST100 will also feature a 3.5-inch touch LCD and dual image stabilization. It will record 720p HD videos at 30 fps and also offers face detection and recognition.
Pricing and availability
The Samsung DualView ST100 will cost $349.99 and the DualView ST600 will be priced at $329.99. Both cameras will be available in September in color options that include pink and purple.
