Canon states that they will be releasing a firmware upgrade sometime in March 2010 for their EOS 5D Mark II. This 2.0.3 update will add 24p video to the camera's existing 30 fps, full 1080p HD recording capability. Additionally, the upgrade changes that 30p rate to 29.97 to comply with television standards.

Audio recording is also tweaked with the new firmware upgrade. The update adds manual audio level control and boosts audio sampling frequency from 44.1 KHz to 48KHz. Users will also see a new histogram display when shooting movies in manual mode.
The Canon EOS 5D Mark II is a full-frame DSLR and was announced in September of 2008.
