Casio adds two new beginner-friendly compacts to their line on the first day of PMA 2010. The Casio Exilim EX-S7 offers 720p HD video capture along with easy mode. The Exilim offers basic functions at a starting price just over $100.
Casio Exilim EX-S7
The Exilim S7 features a 12.1 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom lens, and 2.7 inch LCD. A dedicated video recording button makes for quick access to the camera's 720p HD recording function. It uses the updated Exilim Engine 5.0 for image processing tasks.
Casio Exilim EX-Z35
The Z35 is also a 12.1 megapixel camera featuring a 3x optical zoom lens. It's also equipped with a 2.5 inch LCD, and will record 848x480 wide aspect videos. Users will also enjoy face detection technology as well as easy mode for hands-off shooting.
Pricing and availability
The Casio Exilim EX-S7 will be available this spring at a price of $139.99. The Exilim EX-Z35 becomes available in March at an MSRP of $109.99.
