Sanyo outs three new Dual Cameras

Sanyo outed three new camcorders, the VPC-GH2, VPC-CG102, and VPC-CG20. Branded as "Dual Cameras" by Sanyo for their ability to take both stills and video, all three shoot HD video (1920x1080, h.264) and they come in two form factors: the CG102 and CG20 are pistol-grip camcorders while the GH2 has a horizontal form similar to traditional models.

Sanyo VPC-GH2
The GH2 features a 14.4MP CMOS sensor capable of shooting 14 megapixel stills in addition to 1080 video. It also sports a 38mm wide-angel lens with 5x optical zoom, which can be stretched to what Sanyo refers to as "12x double-range zoom." For display, it has a 2.7 inch LCD screen with a Mini-HDMI port to transfer user footage. It also supports SD, SDHC, SDXC (currently available in 64GB cards, but capable of up to 2TB of storage), and Eye-Fi SD. The GH2 also features Sanyo's Face Chaser and Target a Color functions, weighs 5.5 ounces and will be available in silver.

Sanyo VPC-CG102
The CG102 offers the exact same features as the GH2, but comes in a pistol grip form factor. It will be available in black.

Sanyo VPC-CG20
Sanyo's other pistol-grip camcorder shoots 10 megapixel stills and features a 10.7MP CMOS sensor, 38mm wide-angle lens complete with 5x optical zoom, and also comes in black. Other specs are similar to the GH2 and CG102.

Pricing and availability
All three Sanyo camcorders will be available starting in March 2010. The GH2 and CG102 will retail for an MSRP of $229, while the CG20 will retail for an MSRP of $199.
