To complement the announcement of their third Micro Four Thirds camera, Olympus is getting official with the launch of two new Micro Four Thirds lenses. The M.ZUIKO Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6 (equivalent to 18-36mm) will offer wide angle coverage previously unavailable in a Micro Four Thirds lens. The M.ZUIKO Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 (28-300mm) is designed to offer a lot of zoom power in a small lens.
Both lenses will be compatible with Panasonic's G-series Micro Four Thirds cameras. The super wide-angle 9-18mm weighs 155 grams and measures a compact 49mm. It will become available in early May at a price of $699.99. The 14-150mm zoom lens is fully 70% lighter than the comparable 10x zoom lens. It will debut in early June at $599.99.
