On September 15, Olympus announced the release of a firmware update for its E-P1 camera. The E-P1, also known as the "Digital Pen", uses the Micro Four Thirds system jointly developed by Olympus and Panasonic.
The firmware update, version 1.1, improves the camera's operation in continuous autofocus mode (C-AF). It also improves the performance of the lenses used with the E-P1, the M. Zuiko Digital 17mm F2.8 and the M. Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6. The firmware update can be downloaded through the Olympus Master/Studio software at the Olympus website.
