Fujifilm announced today an update to their style-savvy Z line with the FinePix Z37. Though it's still aimed squarely at a younger user, this update gives the Z series a slightly more mature look. It keeps the same playful silhouette of its predecessors, but with brushed metal accents it looks a bit more fashion-forward than science fiction.
This latest update to the Z model retains many of the same features on board the previous generation FinePix Z30, including the 10.0 megapixel CCD sensor. Other key specs include:
Sleek style, simplified controls
The Z37 will also feature Fujifilm's Auto SR scene recognition mode designed to automatically choose one of six scene modes based on shooting conditions. Picture stabilization will offer some shake-reduction with a combination of shutter speed adjustment and boosted ISO sensitivity. The Z37 also provides a separate shutter button for movie recording.
Measuring less than an inch slim, it's a pocketable camera with a bold look. It will be sold in blue, green and violet.
Pricing and availability
The Fujifilm FinePix Z37 will debut in August with a price of $149.95.
