Nik Software releases Sharpener Pro 3.0 update for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

Nik Software has announced a release of Sharpener Pro 3.0 software for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. This update is available on Adobe's web site and is free of cost to all Sharpener Pro 3.0 users. The update is a plugin for the Lightroom software, and will work directly with Lightroom instead of as a separate program. Sharpener Pro 3.0 allows a photographer to make selective sharpening edits to a photo using its own U point technology.

The software has many features including output sharpening, creative sharpening, and RAW pre-sharpening. In addition, Sharpener Pro 3.0 works directly with Photoshop's brushes, smart objects, and offers multi-image support. Sharpener Pro 3.0 is available from Nik Software at the suggested retail price of $199.95, with upgrades from previous versions at $99.95.
