Most Popular Digital Cameras of December 2008

Our last list of most viewed cameras for 2008 doesn't come with many surprises. There was some reshuffling of models within the list, but only one all new addition to a Canon-heavy group of point-and-shoots that have, in many cases, consistently been among our most searched models of the entire year.

The majority of these cameras have been hanging around for several months during the build-up to the peak holiday shopping season, but one of the most surprising long-running models of the year has been Nikon's scrappy Coolpix 210: this budget ultracompact has only been excluded from the top ten list twice since April, and has never been out of the top fifteen most-searched models during that time.

Of course, 2009 will bring a host of new models – and some serious shake-ups in this group once those models begin hitting store shelves.

This list of cameras shows you what visitors to DigitalCameraReview.com viewed most often over the past month. The rankings are determined by the number of times a particular product page is viewed by our users. The rankings below are for the entire month of December 2008.
