Most Popular Digital Cameras of July 2008

After big month-to-month changes seen in the last few cycles, things have mostly settled down for the moment on our "Most Popular" list. There was some slight reshuffling, with several representatives from this year's strong crop of ultrazooms relocated to the top of the heap, and one aging favorite – the Canon Powershot G9 – making a second comeback to our rankings after some time away.

Like most our regular readers, our list tends to bias heavily toward the point-and-shoot side of the spectrum. But Olympus snuck a DSLR into the top ten this month with its E-520, and several others (Pentax K20D, Canon Rebel XSi) were knocking at the door. All in all, it's a pretty stable bunch of cameras that many could have predicted, but with the number of pre-Photokina announcements increasing seemingly by the day, it's probably a safe bet that this little breather from the constant position jockeying won't last long.

This list of cameras shows you what visitors to DigitalCameraReview.com viewed most often over the past month. The rankings are determined by the number of times a particular product page is viewed by our users. The rankings below are for the entire month of July 2008.
