Most Popular Digital Cameras of June 2008

Panasonic remained the dominant player in our "Most Popular" rankings for the month of June, but only by the slimmest of margins. The FX500 took top honors, with the TZ4 and TZ5 both earning lots of clicks as well. Several makers, including Canon, Nikon, and Fuji, took two spots apiece, however, showing more diversity in this group than we've seen in awhile.

There were also a few interesting first-time appearances this month. In spite of strong interest since its release, Canon's A590 has taken six months to work its way into our rankings – presumably, continued interest in the still-available A570 has "split the vote" as it were.

Ultrazooms remained strong, taking fully half the spots on the list if you count the two compact 10x zoom Panasonic TZ models as well. With lots of new blood in this category, some older models are finally being unseated: the long-running and still extremely popular Canon Powershot S5 IS ended one of the longest stints ever on our list, falling out of the top ten after more than a year.

This list of cameras shows you what visitors to DigitalCameraReview.com viewed most often over the past month. The rankings are determined by the number of times a particular product page is viewed by our users. The rankings below are for the entire month of June 2008.
