Close-up lens for Sigma DP1 now available

Sigma has launched a new accessory lens for its DP1 compact that allows for near-macro shooting.

Sigma AML-1

The Sigma AML-1 close-up lens brings the minimum focusing distance on the DP1's fixed wide-angle lens down to 7.9 inches. Advanced optical design – including multi-layer coatings to control flare and ghosting, and two-element construction for color fringing and distortion control – assures high image quality when using the add-on lens.

The AML-1 is slated for retail availability next month. No information has been provided to this point on pricing.
