Lexar 8GB SDHC announced

Flash memory manufacturer Lexar announced on Tuesday that 8GB SDHC cards will be coming to three of its popular product lines in the near future. The 133x Professional, 60x Platinum II, and Lexar standard product lines will each be expanded to include a 8GB model.

With its higher transfer speed lines, Lexar is working to meet the speed and capacity memory requirements of the growing digital video market.

The Professional and Platinum models both come with Lexar's Image Rescue 3 software and a limited lifetime warranty. All three models also come with Corel's Snapfire Plus SE image editing software.

Cards should be available for purchase later this month. No word from Lexar on pricing.
