Pentax Optio M40 and Optio E40 Announced

Pentax is starting their yearly refresh of their Optio digital camera line with the Optio M40 and Optio E40. The 8 megapixel M40 features a slim, metal body, face detection and digital shake reduction. The 8 megapixel entry level Optio E40 takes AA batteries and also has face detection and digital shake reduction. The Pentax Optio M40 will be available in August 2007 for $199 and the Pentax Optio E40 will be available in September for $149.
