Pick Up Your Kodak Gallery Prints from Rite Aid Stores

Kodak Gallery has announced the addition of Rite Aid to their already impressive network of brick and mortar locations where prints can be picked up or printed in-house. Rite Aid has 3,300 stores in 28 states and by adding Rite Aid to their list of retail partners, 85% of Kodak Gallery customers are within a 5 mile radius of a store.

The digital image print business continues to grow at a steady clip. According to the Photo Marketing Association, the volume of prints was up 46% for the year ending in January. Online ordering of prints increased 114% over the same period and the number of orders made online for in-store pickup almost doubled.

Phanfare Enhancements

Phanfare, an online video and photo sharing service has announced a couple new enhancements to their service. The first is a new import wizard that can automatically upload your images to your Phanfare site. Once your camera or memory card is attached to the computer, the import wizard copies the images to a "My Pictures" folder on your machine and starts the upload process to the Phanfare server.

The second enhancement is the ability for Phanfare subscribers to do their image processing - adding captions and editing images - while their computer is not online. Once the computer is connected to the Internet, the Phanfare application will upload/update their personal site with the changes.

Kingston's "Icons of Photography" Answer Photography Questions

Kingston Technology has posted questions, submitted by visitors, on the "Ask the Icon" section of their Icons of Photography micro-site. "Ask the Icon" lets users ask questions and get answers from Harry Benson, Colin Finlay, Gerd Ludwig and Peter Read Miller.

In addition to the "Ask the Icon" section, users can also interact with the microsite in two other sections: "20 Questions" and "Critique My Image". The microsite showcases photography from the Icons and lists of upcoming projects, lectures, and workshops.

Later, in June, Kingston will be publishing visitor-submitted images with critiques from the Icons.
