It looks like the software developers for Olympus, Pentax, and Canon are trying to get their work completed before the holidays. All three manufacturers have released firmware updates.
Olympus Firmware
The firmware from Olympus applies to many of the cameras in the SP line. The update increases the start up speed of the camera when using xD-Picture Cards. To update the Olympus cameras, you need to use the Olympus Master software. See here for instructions. Updated camera models and firmware versions:
Pentax Firmware
The firmware updates for Pentax expands support for SDHC memory cards. The previous firmware added SDHC support, but this one just expands the support just a bit. An update is available for the following models:
Canon Firmware
The Canon firmware update is available for three pro-level digital SLRs - the EOS-1D Mark II, EOS-1D Mark II N, and EOS-1Ds Mark II. The update corrects the same issues in each model:
