It looks like the software developers for Olympus, Pentax, and Canon are trying to get their work completed before the holidays. All three manufacturers have released firmware updates.
The firmware from Olympus applies to many of the cameras in the SP line. The update increases the start up speed of the camera when using xD-Picture Cards. The firmware updates for Pentax expands support for SDHC memory cards. The previous firmware added SDHC support, but this one just expands the support just a bit. An update is available for the following models:
