Kodak EasyShare Z612, EasyShare V603, EasyShare C663 and C533 Announced

Kodak has announced three cameras to update several of their lines.  In the Z (High Zoom) line, they have announced the EasyShare Z612 a 12x optical zoom with stabilization that will be available in April 2006 at an MSRP of $399.  In the stylish V series, we'll see the EasyShare V603 in April for $299.  Two new cameras are added to the entry level C line.  The EasyShare C643 will be available in April for $249 and the EasyShare C533 will be available in June for $199.

The EasyShare Z612 features a 12x optical zoom Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens.  This time, Kodak has also included some image stabilization, a feature missing on previous Z series cameras.  Behind the lens there is a 6 megapixel sensor and a 2.5 inch LCD.  Along with 16 scene modes and 5 color modes, you can shoot in Automatic, Aperture priority, Shutter priority and full Manual modes.  You'll also find on camera editing features.  Look for the Z612 starting in April for $399.

Kodak EasyShare V603

The new addition to the stylish line is the V603.  This camera takes 6.1 megapixel images with a 3x optical zoom Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens.  A 2.5 inch LCD allows easy viewing of your images.  Kodak PerfectTouch technology, several scene modes and color modes allow flexibility to take great snapshots in the slim, pocketable camera.  The V603 will be available in black or silver, starting in April for $299.

Kodak EasyShare Z612 Press Release

Kodak EasyShare C643, C533

Kodak has decided to update the entry level C line with two new models.  The Kodak EasyShare C643 takes pictures up to 6.1 megapixels with a 3x optical zoom and 2.4 inch LCD.  Look for the C643 in April for $249.

An even more entry-level camera is the C533 which is due to be on the market in June for $199.  The C533 takes 5 megapixel images with a 3x optical zoom and a 1.8 inch LCD.  Both cameras run on AA batteries.
