Sony NEX-6

The Sony NEX-6 is a great little camera and, one of my personal favorites. Other than its sometimes confusing menu system, the NEX-6 is well designed for comfortable and efficient shooting for enthusiasts and those just stepping up from compact cameras. To round out the mix, the camera offers good performance, above average image quality and an excellent feature set – including Wi-Fi. While the Sony NEX-6 hasn’t revolutionized the mirrorless camera industry, it’s a very strong contender in this increasingly competitive category.

Well, I do like the NEX 6, but it is just a step below the 5N I sold in order to get the 6…… The5N had a better noise reduction program, and/or better resolution. The 5N was very usable at 3200 and even at 6400 indoors, where the 6 is best kept at 1600 or maybe 3200.

However, I’ll keep the 6 over the 5N for its total usability being better: the EVF and WiFi just add SO MUCH to a grandfather who loves to travel and likes to send photos to granddaughters and nieces…(girls are always more communicative than boys…lol).

I have the 1650PZ and the 55-210 lenses, and they are a complete package just by themselves. I keep looking for a 35mmf1.8 on a good sale, but so far can’t seem to catch it below my $300 target.
