A more compact variant of the Olympus SP-570, the SP-565 UZ features a 20x, 26-520mm zoom, a 10.0 megapixel sensor, a 2.5-inch HyperCrystal LCD, high-sensitivity capture to ISO 6400, and a 13.5 fps high-speed shooting mode.

    • Decent performance on several levels
    • Natural-looking colors
    • Good detail capture at low ISO settings
    • Base ISO of 64

  • Cons

    • Lens distortion at extreme focal lengths
    • Tendency to clip highlights in high contrast shots
    • Relatively small (2.5 inch) LCD compared to other Olympus superzooms
    • Purple fringing along high contrast edges
    • Only two levels of JPEG image compression
