Priced $600 to $1,000, mid-range HD camcorders are similar to entry-level HD camcorders in physical specs, but may include a larger sensor or multiple CMOS sensors. Mid-range models may also have advanced features not found on entry-level devices, like Sonys Golf Shot or Panasonics Intelligent Zoom. Other characteristics of mid-range HD camcorders include audio controls, microphone input, and a near complete set of picture controls.
